Nourane Fotsing said the PCRN did not make her, rejecting the claim that her former party built her political career, during an appearance on the A1 television programme Obama Time on 25 October 2026.

"The PCRN did not make me, that is false," the Wouri-Est MP said, adding that she was elected to the National Assembly in 2020 through her own campaign work and that the party was little known at the time. She named Charles Hamel, her campaign director at the time, among the collaborators she credited.

Fotsing also said she is the second most followed political figure in Cameroon on Facebook, behind President Paul Biya. She did not give figures for the following.

She has left the Parti Camerounais pour la Reconciliation Nationale (PCRN) of Cabral Libii and is now engaged with the Pacte social pour la gouvernance (PSG), a grouping whose institutional standing is not established.

The PCRN has not responded to her remarks. Legislative and municipal elections are due, and her break with the party leaves open how she will contest them.
