The National Anti-Corruption Commission (Conac) reported financial losses to the state of 6,271,017,456 XAF for 2025, up from 4,061,806,711 XAF in 2024, in its 15th report on the state of corruption, published on 8 October 2026.

The report records 537 public agents sanctioned in 2025, against 116 in 2024, while the number of administrations that imposed sanctions fell from 31 to 18 over the same period. Conac received 8,036 denunciations in 2025, against 10,520 in 2024, a fall of 2,484, or 23.61%. The commission attributed the decline to the spread of green lines within administrations, which it said now receive denunciations that would otherwise have gone to Conac.

Conac said it carried out 22 rapid-intervention actions, two anti-corruption clinics and 11 in-depth investigations. It said 17 denunciations proved founded and the suspects were handed to the courts, and that 23 people caught in flagrante at the clinics were placed under in-depth investigation. The report also records sanctions against 116 students for examination fraud and disciplinary measures by the National Order of Physicians against seven of its members.

The National Financial Investigation Agency received 1,764 suspicious transaction reports in 2025, against 1,608 in 2024, an increase of 156. The report says 5,817,745,046 XAF was recovered in 2025 through the Special Criminal Court and the Debt Recovery Company.
