Cabral Libii, the president of the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation, the PCRN, criticised the sale of a book by Territorial Administration Minister Paul Atanga Nji through the governor's office in the Adamawa region, in a message published on his social media accounts on 3 November 2026.

The governor's office in the Adamawa region issued a communiqué dated 2 November 2026 announcing that copies of Atanga Nji's book, titled "Comprendre le sens de mon combat permanent pour le respect de la legalite republicaine", were available from the governor's chief of cabinet at a single price of 10,000 XAF. The communiqué was addressed to the population and to administrative, traditional and religious authorities, and the book was distributed to prefects, sub-prefects and mayors.

Libii wrote: "Malgre les circonstances, nous devons demeurer attaches a une conception elevee de l'Etat, ainsi qu'au respect scrupuleux de ses institutions et des principes qui fondent leur autorite." He did not name Atanga Nji or the governor of the Adamawa region in the message.

The PCRN leader's intervention concerns the use of decentralised administrative structures for what he described as personal communication and sales, a practice he said risks weakening the authority of the state.
