Nourane Fotsing, a former PCRN deputy who now holds the post of women's affairs official in the Pacte social pour la gouvernance (PSG), announced on 4 November 2026 that 128 new members from the North region had joined the party.
The announcement came a day after a collective letter dated 3 November 2026 and addressed to PCRN national president Cabral Libii announced the resignation of 128 people presented as PCRN members in the same region. The letter carried a list of names. Its authors accused Libii of drifting from the commitments that founded the 11 million citizens movement, criticised his conduct during the 2025 presidential election and his stance on creating a post of vice-president of the Republic, and described the PCRN as a "façade opposition".
PCRN members and officials disputed the list. In a video published after the letter circulated, one member said he did not recognise some of the names listed as resigning in Lagdo, in the North region. The challenge bears on the figure of 128 departures that the letter carries.
Fotsing left the PCRN on 26 September 2026. A collective letter from 65 members in Douala 5e was made public in October 2026, and on 25 October 2026 she set out her disagreements with the party in a television interview.
The matching figure and region have led PCRN members to question whether the two groups of 128 are the same people.
