Emmanuel Simh, a lawyer and member of the Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun (MRC), published an open letter to Pierre Emmanuel Binyam on 18 October 2026, calling on him to set aside the grievances of the party's presidential election and return to his place in the party.

Binyam withdrew from the race on 14 October 2026, citing irregularities observed during the campaign period. The MRC convention was held on 17 October 2026 at the party's Odza headquarters in Yaounde to elect a president to replace Maurice Kamto, who resigned.

In the letter, published on his Facebook page, Simh praised Binyam's campaign and the team he assembled. "Une élection a toujours des soubresauts, et parfois elle peut laisser des blessures," he wrote, adding that the party's ability to move past resentments on both sides would make it a more united family. He urged Binyam to rest and take care of his family before resuming his place in the party.

Simh also recalled the responsibilities Kamto had entrusted to Binyam within the party's Directoire. Binyam has not publicly responded to the letter.
