Biya appoints Remy Nama to lead Constitutional Council after Atangana’s death
President Paul Biya signed a decree on 16 October 2026 making Remy Nama president of the Constitutional Council, succeeding Clement Atangana, who died on 4 October 2026. A second decree the same day named Abdoullaye Daouda to a vacant seat.
